RUST Developer (Remote)

Our client is looking for a couple of RUST Developers, and will speak with anyone who has a year or more of experience with Rust.

This is a Remote work role.

Our client is a cybersecurity organisation established in 2018. They currently have clients in the GTA and are expanding to western Canada and western USA, as well as into the EU. You will be part of a growing team with the opportunity to work in the EU in the future if you choose to do so.

What you will be doing:

We are looking for someone to join our growing team, you will be involved in two, possibly three projects that are all about building a new cybersecurity model using Rust. Additionally, you will be building tools for our blockchain users such as RESTful API, command-line client. Debugging/fixing issues within our codebase.

What you need for this position:

Candidate Profile:

• If you have a degree that’s great, but we are more concerned about your technical skills versus your degree.

• Rust (1+ years)

• Software Engineering experience, Python, JAVA, REACT etc. (1+ years)
  

• Hands on experience with tooling related to Rust (build systems, package managers, unit testing, CI pipelines)

• Ability to develop software, implement mission-critical features, and navigate through a large codebase

• Experience with code review process and ability to conduct them

• Strong ability work in a team environment

• Fluency in Git and Github

• Ability to follow Agile development process

• Attention to detail and ability to producing production-level code

• Active approach to work, taking initiative to define and complete tasks

• Critical Thinking and Problem Solving skills, ability to work independently

• Have a habit of implementing thorough unit tests

• Highly detail-oriented mindset and willingness to learn

• Ability to communicate in English (spoken & written)

"Nice to haves", but not essential:

• Python/C#/C++/ Java/ REACT/ REST

• Experience with cryptography or security

• Understanding compilers and virtual machines

• Basic understanding of blockchains and Ethereum

• Knowledge of Solana and/or Cardano

Responsibilities

• Development and maintenance of blockchain-related infrastructure and software products

• Occasional auditing of Rust code

The Client's organization is fully remote, they are, however, arranging for co-work spaces in Mississauga, Brampton and other locations as needed, if you would like to get out of the house. Everyone is available via video chat. Anytime.

Base Salary: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00

Job Type: Full Time

Pay Type: Annual
